Horizons Clean Energy Expansion Week

As the global energy landscape faces mounting pressure from record temperatures, rising electricity demand and geopolitical uncertainty, the focus has shifted from clean energy ambition to project delivery. Against this backdrop, Horizons Clean Energy Expansion Week (HCEE Week) returns to Copenhagen from 24-27 November 2026, bringing together more than 1,000 senior decision-makers from across the energy value chain to address one of the industry's most urgent questions: which projects are moving forward, and where are the next opportunities for investment and growth?

Formerly known as World Hydrogen Week, HCEE Week has evolved into a broader platform dedicated to delivering security through clean energy. The event reflects the growing need for countries and industries to strengthen energy security, improve grid resilience, accelerate electrification and develop scalable low-carbon energy solutions. Over four days, policymakers, utilities, project developers, industrial end-users, investors, TSOs, DSOs, technology providers and infrastructure leaders will come together to share practical insights, forge new partnerships and accelerate project deployment across the clean energy ecosystem.

The event features four dedicated content conferences that tackle the most pressing challenges and opportunities shaping the future energy system. The Clean Hydrogen conference will examine the next phase of hydrogen deployment, exploring how projects are moving from planning into construction and operation while addressing infrastructure, storage, market development and regulatory considerations.

The Power-to-X & End-Use conference will focus on unlocking demand for the clean energy economy, highlighting the role of low-carbon fuels, chemicals and feedstocks in decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors including aviation, shipping and heavy industry. Discussions will cover ammonia, methanol, e-fuels, offtake agreements, project economics and industrial adoption pathways.

Meanwhile, the CCUS conference will explore the expanding role of carbon capture, utilisation and storage infrastructure in supporting industrial competitiveness and emissions reduction goals. With major projects reaching critical investment milestones, sessions will examine CO₂ transport and storage networks, carbon accounting, project financing and the development of cross-border value chains.

Recognising that electrification is central to the energy transition, the Grid Resilience conference will address the urgent need for stronger, more flexible and secure power systems. Industry leaders will discuss strategies to improve grid resilience, reduce congestion, integrate renewable energy, enhance flexibility markets and support growing demand from data centres, electric vehicles and clean energy technologies.

With more than 250 speakers, participants from over 80 countries, 12 workshops, multiple site visits and more than 60 hours of content, HCEE Week offers a unique opportunity to understand where investment is flowing, which projects are gaining momentum and how market leaders are responding to an increasingly competitive energy landscape.

For organisations seeking actionable market intelligence, strategic connections and a clearer view of the opportunities driving the future of hydrogen, CCUS, low-carbon fuels, grid resilience and energy security, HCEE Week 2026 is set to be one of the industry's most important gatherings.

Delivering Security with Clean Energy

As the global energy landscape evolves, the need for energy security and resilience has never been more urgent. Countries are increasingly seeking to diversify energy sources, strengthen infrastructure, and accelerate the adoption of electrification, alternative fuels, and new energy technologies to ensure a sustainable and reliable future. Formerly known as World Hydrogen Week, Horizons Clean Energy Expansion Week now offers a broader platform for innovation and collaboration. This multi-track event brings together industry leaders, policymakers, and technology pioneers to explore and advance solutions across hydrogen, feedstocks & fuels, carbon management, resilient grids, and innovative financing.
